The Rapture: Fact or Fiction

If you know me at all, you knew this type of post was coming. I was just waiting until the actual said day of the Rapture to post it. I’ll keep it short, though, I promise.

First, I would like to start off by saying, that the Rapture, or Judgement Day, is NOT the end of the world. Just the beginning of the end. In the book of Revelations, Judgement Day is the day where God takes all his chosen people up into heaven. After all the chosen are gone is when a bunch of plagues, earthquakes, fire raining down from the sky, etc. happen. According to whoever started this, the REAL end of the world isn’t until October. So if you’re still here past 6PM you have time.

I think some of this Rapture stuff has some truth to it. I’m not a religious person, but I think that eventually it will happen. Not saying that a higher being will be in charge of it. All this stuff could happen on it’s own. But not for a very, very long time.

Also, no one can predict Judgement Day from the Bible. Even the Bible says it:

” But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night”

2 Peter 3:10

I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to know that a thief is coming to your house. If you do know, that thief is really dumb. This guy says he found all the dates hidden in the Bible– No. You didn’t. Just random numbers and passages that could really relate to anything. Plus, even if he or someone else did, I’m pretty sure they did the math wrong.

Look at the Bible as a story. None of this stuff actually happened (I’m sorry if you believe it did, but until I’m proven otherwise I’ll stick with my beliefs). It’s just like any other piece of literature, meant to be read at leisure and enjoyed. Not torn to pieces because someone thinks they can find the meaning of life in it. Or the end of the world.

The only reason why I’m kind of upset that there is no Judgement Day is because I was kind of looking forward to the Zombie Apocalypse. But I am glad the CDC wised up and now thinks everyone needs a Zombie Apocalypse Safety Plan. Thank you, CDC. Thank you.
