Day 10: Pride

Waking up early, he headed in to work. The team was meeting to put together a presentation for the head of the company. Each member had a specific task, and as the day wore on each section slowly came together. He saw himself as team leader, taking command of each task and instructing each person on what to do. If anyone tried to disagree, he would override their decision with argument. Finally the presentation was done. The big shots gathered in the conference room, ready to listen. This is it, he thought. All my hard work is going to pay off. As he gave the presentation, with little help from the rest of the group, he could see the promotion laying right in front of him. Listening to the thunderous applause at the end, he couldn’t help but smile. And I did it all by myself.
